For all of you who have been offered a place, we look forward to welcoming you for what will be a very special week. The days will vary, however, as a guide, the masterclass will start at 10 am each morning & finish for supper at 8 pm.
You must come fully prepared. You will all be working in the studio together all day so there is very limited time during the week to rehearse.
Crear is 100 miles from Glasgow City Centre. Please also be considerate about sharing rides & offering lifts to others. If you are a non-EU passport holder, we suggest you come to the UK on a tourist visa as you are coming for what is considered a private lesson.
The Crear Manager, Julie MacNeil, and her team will be looking after you during your stay. Please, can you let us know nearer the time if you have any dietary requirements and any allergies to food or feathers, etc. Crear is fully licensed and runs an honesty bar at musicians rates for those of you who require a little refreshment at the end of a long day.
Things to bring
• USB sticks - some of your sessions will be recorded so you can listen again.
• Paper and pens.
• Ipad or equivalent.
• Wet weather walking gear and clothes for the week.
• Informal concert clothes.
• Camera.
• Books.
• DVDs to watch on your laptop as there is no TV signal.
• Dress code - very relaxed so jeans and jumpers are the order of the day.
Please note that we are 20 miles to the closest shop.
You will be required to share an en-suite room, so bring ear plugs and a dressing gown. If you are concerned then both at Crear and the cottage you can get up and sit in the living space without disturbing anyone.
Mobile phone coverage is limited. There is open Wi-Fi in the studio.
What we need from you as soon as possible:
• A 60-word biography for publicity.
